5.3 Company Network Policy Check – Internet Behavior Management

Corporate networks are often complex and may have management software that restricts DeskIn usage, such as internet behavior management systems and firewalls.  

To ensure a smooth DeskIn experience, please check and configure the following settings.

5.3.1 Add DeskIn to the Whitelist

In your network/router interface, navigate to Exclusion/White List setting and Add deskin.io to the exclusion list.

5.3.2. Policy Management Check - Check Existing Policies (Especially Restricted Policies)

Ensure that DeskIn is not restricted, and STUN/STUN_TURN, SSL, and HTTPS protocols are not blocked.

  1. Locate existing policies and uncheck any restrictions on DeskIn.

  2. Ensure STUN and STUN_TURN are not restricted, as blocking them affects high-definition mode.

  3. In HTTPS settings, uncheck restrictions on "IP Sites" and "Uncategorized".

  4. In Network Protocol Settings, uncheck the restriction on "SSL".

  5. Go to Port Control, add a new service, and allow the following ports:

    • TCP: 443, 8081, 10888

    • UDP: 10888, 10999, 21000-23000  

Click Port Control, select "DeskIn-ports", and set to Allow.

Prompt: Remote Device Network Failure

  1. Check the firewall policies of the controlled system. Try turning off the firewall.

  2. The network may restrict access from unknown IPs. Try changing the network, e.g., using a mobile hotspot.

  3. If multiple controlled devices on the LAN can't be accessed, contact the network admin to allow traffic:

    • Domain: *.DeskIn.com

    • Ports: tcp 443,8081,10888; udp 10888,10999,21000-25000

    • Some users also need DNS port 53 open

  4. If your enterprise uses network management tools, please refer to Section 5.3.
