2.4 Temporary Technical Support Scenario - SOS Operation Guide
Temporary Technical Support Scenario - SOS Operation Guide
2.4.1. SOS Initiation Procedure
In many enterprises, office computers do not have administrator rights. However, in IT remote technical support, when performing administrative tasks, the lack of administrator rights on the controlled computer can affect the remote control operations.
DeskIn Enterprise Edition's Solution:
The SOS endpoint supports running without administrator privileges.
IT personnel with administrator rights can temporarily elevate the SOS program to run with administrator privileges during the remote session, allowing tasks like installing/uninstalling software and other high-level operations to be carried out successfully.
After the remote session ends, the elevated privileges are immediately revoked for secure remote control.
Follow the step-by-step guide below
[For Admin]: Ensure that the SOS Support License function has been enabled for the relevant users via User Management > License Allocation > SOS Support License > Action (On)
On the DeskIn Local app, Admin may copy the invitation content and send it to the receiving party to be controlled.
SOS Receiving End can click the link to automatically download the no-installation interface, then double-click to run it. Once do, a 8-digit connection will be generated and can be provided to the Admin.
Admin can enter the connection code and initiate the remote connection and wait for the SOS end to approve.
SOS Receiving End to click "Agree" to establish the connection.
Throughout the remote session, SOS Receiving End retains full control over the device security and may terminate the remote connection anytime.
