4.01 DeskIn Remote Connection Modes
Unlike traditional remote control software that uses UDP or TCP, DeskIn prioritizes RTP (Real-time Transport Protocol) in its latest version to achieve a better remote experience.
Six connection modes:
RU - Best speed = RUDP (relay)
RP - Best speed = RUDP P2P
P - Excellent speed = P2P direct connection | No server relay
(The client and local device are in a NAT-friendly network)
N - Excellent speed = P2P TCP direct connection | No server relay
(The client and local device support direct TCP connection)
T - Moderate speed = TCP server relay mode
(The client and local device are in a complex NAT environment where direct connection is not possible)
U - Moderate speed = UDP server relay mode
(The client and local device are in a complex NAT environment where direct connection is not possible)
Tips to improve transmission speed:
If you have access to your router settings, enable UPNP in the router management page to increase the success rate of P2P direct connections.
