Why can't I control my iPhone or iPad?
Due to Apple’s system restrictions, DeskIn currently does not support remote control of iOS devices (iPhone and iPad). The limitation in iOS applies to all third-party remote support software due to Apple's system-level security policies.
1. Apple's System-Level Restriction on iOS
Unlike Android or Windows devices, Apple does not allow third-party applications to perform full remote control (such as touch or gesture control) on iOS devices. This is a platform-wide restriction enforced by Apple's operating system.
No third-party remote support software—including DeskIn—can bypass this restriction.
2. Why Apple Restricts Remote Control
Apple enforces these limitations to:
Protect user data and privacy
Prevent unauthorized remote access
Ensure system integrity on iOS platforms
3. What is Available on iOS
While full remote control is not possible, DeskIn still offers Screen Viewing or mirroring in limited scenarios, such as through Apple Business Manager with Mobile Device Management (MDM), specific enterprise apps with guided access. In these cases, full remote interaction (like controlling the screen with touch input) remains restricted at the system level.
Current Status and Future Updates
While the restriction is enforced by Apple's iOS operating system, we continuously monitor updates from Apple regarding their remote access policies. Should Apple expand access to third-party remote control in future iOS versions, we plan to implement full support promptly.
